CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion: My New Favorite Mascara

One of the most annoying things for me is running out of my favorite mascara. Previously I had been using the Wet 'n' Wild MegaPlump mascara and was really liking it. However, I found that it was difficult to build up and it ran out quicker than I expected, but maybe that was my doing.
Anyway, I decided to try out a more self-satisfying product and found a coupon for CoverGirl mascara in my local newspaper (I try to save a few bucks wherever I can). The coupon totaled the product at about $5, which is about half of the normal price, and to me, it was worth trying out at such a good deal. :) I picked up the CoverGirl Lashblast Fusion mascara (tempted by promises of full and volumized lashes), and found that I'm personally loving it!
My lashes have taken a lot of abuse these last few weeks (including some unfortunate lash loss) and I was pleasantly surprised when this mascara made them look very long and very full despite their not so ideal state. Some of my favorite things about the product are the fact that I didn't have to build up the mascara too much, the large brush is great for getting all of those stubborn lashes, and the packaging is not to shabby either. :)
The picture above is an example of what the mascara did for my poor lashes. My crazy, randomly-sized lashes were easily tamed by this product and I couldn't be happier. They especially look nice paired with some winged liner.
Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and can see myself repurchasing this mascara in the future. :)

Monday Manis, Mantras, and Spring Makeup

Another Monday. This one being a little difficult after Daylight Savings Time, but hey, Monday's always have their downside. Lately, I've been falling in love with the idea of spring, and I'm not the only one. I've even been feeling unusually inspirational lately. This week's Monday post is kind of dedicated to that inspiration. I'm at a pretty difficult place in my life right now and losing myself in wise words and the amazing spring style that our world has come up with this year has been a great outlet for me. So, without further ado, here's this week's manis:

Metallics are classic and I have a feeling they'll be sticking around for quite a few seasons. :)

How adorable are these tiny bows?!

Much cuter than the crackle polishes! (In my opinion anyway)

A more springy color with a pretty pastel. Absolutely love.

I feel this nail look is either a hit or a miss. I love the colorful tips but might change the base to something lighter and more on the sheer side. Still a cool idea though!

Lately, I've been keeping an eye out for spring makeup ideas and there are a few different ones that I feel express the season the best:

I love the soft lavender hues in this one. Very wearable and breathtakingly romantic. Did I mention that I love any kind of purple?

Spring is one of those seasons that you have an excuse to pull yourself out of the winter darks and just give yourself a little glow. What better way to do that with the liveliness of pink cheeks? :)

Here's a combination of the two; pink cheeks and a soft hued yellow shadow. Gorgeous.

And now for my favorite part of the Monday posts, the mantras. I found two that I wanted to share this week that have inspired me to get on top of things lately.

Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed this post and that your day goes fairly well.
Til next time,
