Monday Manis, Mantras and Meows

Hey guys, I hope your Monday goes well! Before you head out, here is a couple things I found that might liven the mood just a little bit.
I love this black and gold zipper mani! I'll have to try it sometime. (That is, if I can channel my inner artist enough to recreate it)

I love lace for any occasion, but it just feels like it was meant for fall styles. Don't cha think?
Just thought I'd through this one in here seeing as the Halloween season is practically here.
Here's a little Minnie mouse cute-spiration for you :)
A beautiful quote, and one of my personal favorites.

And to top it all off, here's a cute cat with an interesting meow that I found recently. I'm sure you'll find that it has a little bit of a rhythm to it. ;)

Have a Happy Monday! (or should i say at least a decent one). I'm sure yours will be better than mine!

Samy Shampoo Review

Recently, I've noticed how dull and damaged my hair has grown over the summer. Now that it's fall, I needed some serious rejuvenating. I wanted my hair to be nourished and nursed back to health. I could never pull off any of the fall hair trends with such a mess of locks, so I searched my local drugstore shelves until I found a moisturizing shampoo and conditioning treatment that stood out to me.
I had never heard of the brand before, so I quickly researched it before picking it up. The reviews I found were pretty good so, because I love trying new products, I decided to pick up the duo and see just how good they were for myself.
It turns out, I made the right decision. My hair started looking so much better after just two washes. My favorite product from the duo was the conditioner. It was luxurious. Not only did I notice a difference in my hair visually, but the weight and texture just felt healthier. I have already used up both bottles and have repurchased! I can't wait to try their stylers and other treatments. I love this product and hope you feel the same way!
'Til next time beauties,

Glorified Fanny Packs Fad

Yes. Fanny packs a.k.a "belt bags" are in. They have been spotted during this year's Fashion week looking surprisingly subtle and polished walking down the runway. This handy no-hands travel pouch has been raved about recently and has been debated greatly. Are they worth trending?

This belt bag was spotted during the New York Fashion Week on the Michael Kors runway. It was sported with a jumpsuit and almost knee high gladiator style sandals.

So what do you think? Are these dressed up fanny packs hot or not? I personally don't care for them, but your style is a completely different story. Let me know in the comments :)
This post was short, but I felt like I had to share.
Ciao for now,

Monday Manis, Mac and Mantras

It's Monday. My least favorite day of the week. This Monday, however, is Labor Day. So, I thought I'd share some great finds to lift the dreaded fog and get you in the mood to enjoy this holiday!

One of the newer things I found is for the Mac Cosmetics lovers. Mac is coming out with a new collection called "Casual Color". The haul includes very simple and natural colors that every girl would enjoy adding to her vanity. It also includes eight cheek and lid pots, mascara, signature nail polishes, a special brush, primers, and a pressed powder. Look up the collection for more info and product names :)

We can't go through a Monday without looking at some darling and to die for manis, so I found a couple  from elleandblair.com that you guys might enjoy. (P.S. the ice cream nails are my fave!)

Now that we've covered the visuals, here's a little mantra to stick with you for the rest of the day:

Have an amazing Monday and an even better Labor Day!
Til next time,

Part 2 of Trends and Loves for Fall/Winter

The short awaited sequel to my previous post. More trends to really sink your perfectly manicured claws into. :)

Lately, there have been some shades strutting the runway that have really caught the fashionista's eye. The color Tangerine was coveted as 2012 best shade, but these other choices are great staples for this upcoming season's wardrobe. These bold colors however, need to be balanced to achieve that perfectly chic look.

My personal favorite is the soft sea foam green. Which color will you be rocking?
Another favorite trend of mine has to do with every girl's coveted accessory; her jewelry. The edgy and   very statement making spike has entered the must have list this season.

And last but not least, there's the makeup. When you put on your face in the morning, you want it to tie everything together. Why not add a little bit of a sexy, Gothic edge with a dark berry lip. This pretentious pout will turn heads as it has for all the celebs that have been rocking it lately.

There are so many great trends this season. I'm loving the darker and bolder fall ensembles! What do you think of these fads? Comment and tell me your favorite. :)
Thanks for reading,

Trends and Loves for Fall/Winter

Lately I've been hitting up Youtube and countless other blogs and magazines checking out the trends and the viral faves for the upcoming Fall/Winter seasons. I just thought i would share some of my finds that I thought were a great edition to the fashion/beauty world;

First off, there's is a big nail trend hitting hard at the moment. Everyone seems to be loving the edgy metallic look provided by bold colors like in Essie's "Mirror Metallics" collection. I'm personally loving this trend and have been hunting for the perfect metallics to achieve this look.

Being a huge bag lover, I've been looking for chic, classic colors for my versatile arm candy. Cream bags are just one of the many hot tones accompanying the jewels.

Another style trend I stumbled across (mostly with my favorite gurus I'm subscribed to on Youtube)  is statement necklaces. I fell in love with this trend during it's summer appearance and have found that it can be applied with those gorgeous neutral and jewel tones to pull together any great outfit.

Just another note: with the necklaces and other jewelry, there's a huge commotion when it comes to raw looking jewels. You can steal this look from the jewelry at cheaper retailers like Rue21, Charlotte Russe and other inexpensive carriers.

Well, that's all for today's post. I need to post more often. My first post was months ago and I've been kicking myself for not following it with more. I'll probably have a part 2 to this trend finder, but for now, I hope you enjoyed this small piece of fashion.
